Macaroni Fruit Salad


Macaroni Fruit Salad is one of the favorite Filipino desserts. It is an all-time favorite and is present on almost every occasion. This recipe is the go-to dessert during Christmas Noche Buena and birthday celebrations. Its sweetness and creaminess are being loved by kids and even adults. 

The ingredients are very simple and you can all of them in a grocery store.

Ingredients:
  • 2x 370ml All-purpose cream
  • 300ml + 1/3 cup condensed milk
  • 165g sweet cheese
  • 836g fruit cocktail
  • 400g macaroni pasta
  • 340g kaong
  • 340g nata de coco
Instructions: 
  1. Cook the macaroni pasta as per package instructions or boil water with a little bit of oil. The oil will prevent the pasta from sticking to the pan.
  2. Once boiling, put the macaroni pasta and allow it to boil until cooked. Mixing from time to time will as well prevent the pasta from sticking to the pan.
  3. Once cooked, rinse with tap water to stop it from cooking further.
  4. Make sure it is well drained and then put it in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add the fruit cocktail, drained
  6. Add the kaong, drained
  7. Add the nata de coco, drained
  8. Add the cheese, diced 
  9. Add 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  10. Add the all-purpose cream - 2 cans of 370ml each
  11. Add 300ml condensed milk
  12. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated
  13. Taste it and add more condensed milk if you like it sweeter. I added 1/3 cup more condensed milk to this recipe. 
  14. Chill for 8hrs to overnight before serving
